How to play Dead by Daylight Mobile on Bluestacks 4 64-bit emulator

Dead by Daylight Mobile is finally working on Bluestacks 4 64-bit version (4.210.0.4009 and up) and is the first one to support. It took them a year to make it work. The game is lagging a lot and hard to play, and graphic rendering too short making it hard to see someone far away but you can see the engine lights far away XD. OpenGL 3.1 emulation still need a hell lot of improvements for this game.

Important

It is recommended that you have good hardware that can handle emulation and a good nvidia GPU that support OpenGL 3.x. Unsure about AMD but someone said the game couldn't run on AMD GPU. Intel Graphics are not supported i think.

 

You can't play Tutorial on Bluestacks. Play tutorial on your real device and then login with your existing account on Bluestacks. I think it can be fixed with GLTools (Root needed) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKhdpOnGl3o

OpenGL 3.1 emulation is still in alpha stage, lags and bugs are expected. Don't expect the game to be fully playable yet

Install Bluestacks 64-bit

To get Bluestacks 4 64-bit version, go to this page: https://www.bluestacks.com/download.html

Choose Windows 64-bit and Android 64-bit

Change engine settings

1. Click on hamburger icon and open Settings

2. Go to Engine section and change the following

Graphics engine: Compatibility

Graphics renderer: OpenGL

GPU settings: Check "Prefer dedicated computer graphics (NVIDIA only)" if you have an Nvidia card

ASTC texture (Beta): Disabled

CPU: High (4 Cores)

RAM: High (4 GB)

Frame rate: 60 fps

ABI setting: ARM64

3. Apply and restart Bluestacks

Installing DBD Mobile

DBD Mobile is now available for Bluestacks 4.220.0.4001 64-Bit on Play Store.

 

Get DBD mobile from Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bhvr.deadbydaylight&hl=en

 

If it's not available, please follow steps below

 

Installing DBD Mobile manually:

DBD Mobile is not available on Bluestacks, meaning that it won't show up on Play Store so please follow the instruction

1. Install X-plore on Bluestacks from play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lonelycatgames.Xplore

2. Download DBD Mobile APK+OBB from APKCombo: https://apkcombo.com/en-dk/dead-by-daylight-mobile/com.bhvr.deadbydaylight/download/apk

3. Drag and drop the APK file on Bluestacks to install

4. Copy OBB file to your installed directory of Bluestacks \BlueStacks_bgp64\Engine\UserData\SharedFolder (Maybe the default is C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks\Engine\UserDat\SharedFolder)

but I prefer manual way

5. Open Xplore, open configuration

6. Change Root access to normal

7. Go to /mnt/windows/BstSharedFolder and copy obb file to  /sdcard/Android/obb/com.bhvr.deadbydaylight on other pane. Create folder(s) manually if not exist

Run the game and enjoy!
